Coyaba means heaven or paradise in the language of the Arawak Indians who were Jamaica's indigenous people. We are the first and only Jamaican restaurant in Scotland. Like reggae music and Bob Marley, the Jamaican cuisine has an international appeal. In December we were winners of the Metro 2004 New Restaurant Award. Since our opening we have received numerous positive and enthusiastic reviews in the local and national press.

We are a Rastafarian restaurant and believe that for food to nourish our bodies it be prepared with the best ingredients and with much love and care. Natural fresh ingredients are used to create mouth-watering and wholesome dishes and we believe that you will have never tasted food so good or refreshingly different.

Come and sample the delights of escoveitch fish, jerk chicken and our favourite curry goat. Served up with rice and peas, plaintain and Jamaican root vegetables, washed down with exotic punches, cocktails and natural juices and soothed with the sweet sounds of reggae music.

Open 7 days a week
Sun-Thurs 6pm-10pm
Fri & Sat 6pm-11pm

So welcome, come and be embraced by the warmth and good food of our family restaurant where you will enjoy a unique culinary experience.

Coyaba is a haven of tropical Jamaican paradise.
